Occupy Long Beach Threatened With Arrest

Early Monday morning on December 12th, two hundred protestors were threatened with arrest by police. This protest was one of several that were planned at ports on the West Coast. They were targeting the shipping company SSA Marine as they have a history unfair labor and environmental policies. When the crowd was told to back away, they marched in a circle with percussionists in the middle. One was arrested but, as Occupy Long Beach organizers want the protest to be legal, they urged the protesters to go into a designated area.
